Ladder-Max Review By Triangle Home Consulting
The Ladder-Max Stand-off Stabilizer : More Than A Ladder Accessory

Not too long ago I was at a client’s home making some siding repairs when I noticed that her gutters were overflowing with pine needles. When I pointed this out, she asked me if I could clean them. "No problem," I said.

Ladder-MaxI had an extension ladder on my truck and a traditional side-wall ladder stand-off (on the right). I thought I''d get the job done in no time. But, as it turned out, the eves on this two-story house were so wide, I couldn''t access the gutters by standing the ladder against the siding, not even with extra space afforded by my traditional ladder stand-off. My only other option was to place the extension ladder directly against the home''s two-year old gutters. Being a fairly trim fellow, I thought I could manage the cleaning with my full weight on the ladder as it pressed against the gutter without doing any damage.

I succeeded in completing the job without damaging the gutters, but only after struggling for several minutes to rig my ladder with a useless stand off…not to mention some really anxious moments questioning my own safety and as a result, making very slow progress clearing the pine straw from the gutters. Though I had cleaned gutters before, this experience convinced me that there had to be a faster, safer, and more professional way to do this kind of work.

Ladder-MaxI needed something that would stand the ladder off of the roof so that it would totally clear the gutter. I called Lowe''s Home Improvement and then Home Depot. The customer service associates I spoke with didn''t even know what a ladder stand-off was. Silly me, I thought a brick and mortar store would carry ladder accessories. I then called Northern Tool, Harbor Freight, and Agri-Supply. Their associates at least knew what a ladder stand-off was, but still they couldn''t even tell me where to look or who to call. Exasperated and with my face buried in my hands, I finally decided to search the web to see what I could find. To make a long story short I found Ladder-Max (on the left). Thank God. NEVER again should a homeowner, a tradesmen, or Do-It-Yourselfer, attempt to clean gutters, work around eves, or access a roof utilizing an extension ladder without first buying a Ladder-Max.

I recently used Ladder-Max in three very three different situations. I''ve learned firsthand that it''s built smart, durable, and makes you safer whenever you''re working off of an extension ladder. I recently used Ladder-Max to help set a ridgepole for a room addition (on the right). What a tool! I''ve used Ladder-Max to access roofs on several homes with roof pitches varying from 8/12 to 12/12 (see below). I know Ladder-Max made my work safe, efficient, and professional. It''s more than a ladder accessory. It makes your ladder what it needs to be. One last thing, Ladder-Max is actually made in the U.S.A. This was the icing on the cake for me. Visit
